This Dolphin price prediction covers the token behind the Dolphin uncensored AI models, which more than doubled in a day after Upbit said it would list it. CoinGecko showed POD up about 130% in 24 hours on October 2, 2026, at around $0.72, with a market cap near $60 million and POD among its trending coins. Upbit’s notice went out early on October 2, and trading against the Korean won, BTC and USDT was set to open at 16:00 Korean time the same day.
What Is Dolphin (POD)?
Dolphin comes from a lab best known for uncensored fine-tunes of open models such as Llama, Mistral, Mixtral, Gemma and Qwen, published on Hugging Face since 2023. Its best-known model, Dolphin Mistral 24B Venice Edition, is the default uncensored model on Venice.AI. An unsigned research page published in May 2026 describes a seven-person lab with more than five million monthly downloads and names Venice founder Erik Voorhees as an investor and POD holder. IQ.wiki lists Eric Hartford, the developer behind the original Dolphin models, as working on the Dolphin Network. We did not find a disclosed funding round. The token itself moved from an older DPHN contract to POD on March 2, 2026, according to the same research page.
The Dolphin Network runs on Base. CoinGecko describes it as a decentralized GPU network where gamers and GPU owners rent out idle hardware to serve AI inference, with model integrity checked through sampling and fingerprinting and an SDK for AI-powered game characters. All network revenue is meant to buy POD on the open market. On CoinGecko, POD traded near $0.72 on October 2, with a market cap of about $60 million, a rank around #439 and a fully diluted value of about $362 million. About 83 million POD circulate out of a 500 million maximum. CoinGecko’s all-time high was $0.716, so POD was trading right at its record, while LBank’s page showed an earlier high of $0.61.
The Upbit Listing That Sent It Vertical
Upbit is South Korea’s biggest exchange, and its listings often move small tokens. Bloomingbit logged the notice at 12:38 AM on October 2, 2026, and ChainCatcher reported that Upbit would open POD trading at 16:00 that day with KRW, BTC and USDT markets, using deposits and withdrawals on the Base network only. CoinGecko’s 24 hour range ran from about $0.30 to $0.72. Its seven-day change was close to flat at minus 1.7%, which means the jump mostly won back ground POD had lost earlier in the week.
POD has had sharp rallies before. On May 9, 2026, ChainCatcher reported a 130% day as Venice’s VVV token rallied, since Dolphin supplies Venice’s default uncensored model, and on May 11 a GMGN-tracked valuation briefly passed $170 million after a repost from Base co-founder Jesse Pollak. On September 9 CoinGabbar recorded a 59.7% day to $0.3957 tied to an unverified rumor of a Coinbase roadmap listing. The Upbit listing is the first of these moves backed by a confirmed exchange announcement.
What the Community Actually Liked About It
Supporters like that Dolphin already has users. The models are widely downloaded, and Venice, with more than 3 million users according to the May research page, is the anchor customer. Few DePIN tokens can point to an AI product that people use daily. The link to Erik Voorhees and the Venice ecosystem means POD tends to move when VVV moves, which traders have learned to watch.
The token design also appeals to holders. The research page says 100% of network revenue is meant to buy POD on the open market, so if paid inference takes off, demand for the token grows with it. And for Korean traders, an Upbit won market opens POD to one of the most active retail audiences in crypto, which on its own has driven many small-cap rallies this year.
There is a narrative angle too. Decentralized AI compute has been one of the busiest sectors of 2026, and most tokens in it are still selling a future product. Dolphin has the reverse problem: the models are popular, but the paid network is not live yet. Holders betting on POD are betting that the lab can turn millions of free downloads into paid inference on its own GPU network, with every dollar of revenue going into the token.
Dolphin Price Prediction 2026, 2027, 2030, 2040, 2050 (POD)
This Dolphin price prediction table runs a statistical model against POD’s live market data (current price, volatility, market cap and supply schedule) rather than assuming the current story plays out. It does not assume the Upbit listing keeps Korean demand high or that paid inference revenue arrives, it shows a realistic range if POD’s current volatility and price pattern continue. The monthly table below rolls forward automatically to always show the next 36 months from today.

How this Dolphin forecast was calculated
Every input below comes from live market data and is re-checked daily. Nothing here is a guess dressed up as a number, and you can check the working yourself.
- Tier: Dolphin is classified as a micro cap asset (market cap $47.81M). Larger assets are given lower growth rates, because a coin already worth billions cannot repeat the returns of one worth millions.
- Volatility: 147% annualised, measured from 2160 real price observations over the last 90 days. This sets how wide the minimum-to-maximum range is.
- Growth rate: a base of +33.6% per year for this tier, adjusted for category and liquidity (hot), giving +9.4% per year.
- Supply dilution: total supply is 5.98x the circulating supply. Those tokens unlocking over time reduce the expected price by about 20.0% per year, and that drag is subtracted.
- Market cycle: the four-year Bitcoin halving rhythm is applied on top, so a drawdown year and a post-halving expansion year are not treated the same. The next halving is expected in 2028.
- Reality check: every maximum is clamped so the implied market capitalisation cannot exceed $15.00B for an asset of this type. Any figure marked capped hit that limit.
Minimum and maximum are the 10th and 90th percentile of a log-normal distribution. That means roughly an 80% chance the real price lands inside the range, if the model's assumptions hold. They frequently will not. Ranges are scaled by time0.42 rather than the square root of time, because crypto volatility mean-reverts over multi-year horizons.
Not financial advice. This is a statistical model applied to public market data. Crypto assets are highly volatile and you can lose everything you put in. No model predicts prices, including this one. Do your own research and never invest money you cannot afford to lose.
How To Buy Dolphin (POD)
- Buy POD on Upbit (KRW, BTC and USDT markets from October 2, 2026), LBank or HIBT, or on Uniswap V4 on Base (POD/ETH).
- The Base contract is 0xeD664536023d8E4b1640C394777D34aBAFF1dF8F. The old DPHN token still has pools on Base, so do not confuse the two, and Upbit only accepts POD on the Base network.
- Expect volatility around the listing. Korean listing pumps often reverse within days, and CoinGecko already showed POD’s price swinging from $0.30 to $0.72 in 24 hours.
- Position-size like it can go to zero. Two wallets held about 91% of supply in September, revenue was zero as of May, and most of the 500 million tokens are not yet circulating. Nothing here is an entry signal.
Is POD a Good Investment? The Honest Risk Warning
Concentration is extreme. CoinGabbar found on September 9 that the top two wallets held 90.83% of supply and the top 100 held 98.74%. Circulating supply also seems to be growing: CoinGabbar counted 45.9 million POD in September, the research page about 56 million in May, and CoinGecko 83 million in October. With a fully diluted value roughly six times the market cap, any further release can weigh on the price, and we could not find a published vesting schedule.
The business is still early. The May research page said network revenue was zero by design until the public API launched, and we found no confirmation that paid inference has started. Uncensored models also carry reputational and regulatory risk, and POD’s past rallies on May 9, May 11 and September 9 all faded. If you want to compare it with another decentralized AI compute token, our Gensyn price prediction is a good next read.
Dolphin (POD) FAQ
Why did POD pump on October 2, 2026?
