This SODAX price prediction covers the token that the old ICON network is turning into. SODA spiked alongside ICX on September 22, 2026, landing on CoinGecko’s gainers board with a 24 hour move of roughly 80%, and it did it on daily volume of only about $295,000. Reported gains that day ranged from about 52% (hokanews) to almost 100% (CoinGabbar), which tells you as much about how thin this market is as it does about the rally itself.
What Is SODAX (SODA)?
SODAX is a cross-chain DeFi platform offering intent-based swaps, lending, borrowing and vaults across more than 20 networks and 120 assets, according to its CoinGecko description. It grew out of ICON: in May 2025 the ICON project rebranded as SODAX and abandoned its own Layer 1, moving its DeFi infrastructure to the Sonic blockchain, as CoinDesk reported on May 12, 2025. SODA is an ERC-20 on Sonic and is deployed on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Solana and several other chains. The founder and CEO is Min Kim. Products include intent swaps, a money market, a bridge built on LayerZero and CCTP, a developer SDK, SODAX Stake (launched March 16, 2026) and SODAX Pool (launched March 31, 2026).
At the time of writing, CoinGecko showed SODA around $0.0143 with a market cap near $15.4 million, a fully diluted value of about $21.4 million, and a rank around #1045. Circulating supply is about 1.079 billion out of a 1.5 billion maximum, all of which has already been minted. The all-time high is where sources split: CoinGecko records $0.09635 on January 1, 2026, while CoinMarketCap shows $0.026 on September 5, 2026. Both put the all-time low at about $0.0079 on September 2, 2026.
The ICX Migration Countdown Behind the Spike
No SODAX announcement, listing or partnership was dated September 21 or 22, and we could not find a confirmed trigger for the move. What we can say is that it happened in lockstep with ICX, which jumped well over 100% by some counts the same day, and the two tokens are tied together by a 1:1 migration. ICX holders can swap into SODA at that ratio, two-way swaps end on September 30, 2026, and after December 31, 2026 the ICON chain halts for good. When one side of a fixed-ratio swap moves violently, arbitrage tends to pull the other side along. That is our reading of the timing, not a sourced explanation, so treat it as a hypothesis.
The migration itself has been bumpy. Kraken paused ICX on August 7 and converted balances to SODA automatically, with SODA trading live there by August 14. Binance delisted ICX spot on September 3. Upbit announced on September 18 that it will end ICX/KRW trading on October 19. As of September 1, about 1.109 billion ICX was still sitting on the ICON chain, and cryptoticker noted there is no public progress indicator because swapped ICX is locked rather than burned. SODA has spiked like this before, too: CoinGabbar logged a roughly 170% move from the September 2 low to the $0.026 CoinMarketCap high around September 4 and 5.
What the Community Actually Liked About It
For long-time ICON holders, SODAX is the lifeline. Rather than watching ICX fade with a dead chain, they get a token tied to a working multi-chain DeFi product with a real fee model. According to a HackerNoon piece from August 17, 2026, SODAX charges a 0.1% fee that splits 20% to xSODA stakers, 20% to buy-back-and-burn, and 60% to the DAO treasury and liquidity. With no future issuance, holders like that the supply side of the equation is fixed, and the project also filed a MiCA whitepaper with the Central Bank of Ireland, which is more regulatory homework than most small tokens do.
The breadth of integrations is the other selling point. SODAX’s partner page lists support for Stellar, NEAR, Avalanche, Polygon, Base, Solana, Sonic, Sui, Optimism, Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, HyperEVM, Arbitrum, Kaia and LightLink, and it names tools such as MetaMask, 1inch, Uniswap, Aave and Hana Wallet as things it works with. That wording is “works with,” not formal partnerships, but it still paints SODAX as plumbing rather than a single-chain app. It also has an entry in Circle’s Alliance directory.
SODAX Price Prediction 2026, 2027, 2030, 2050 (SODA)
This SODAX price prediction table runs a statistical model against the coin’s live market data (current price, volatility, market cap, and supply schedule) rather than assuming the ICX migration keeps sending new buyers. It is not trying to predict what happens after the ICON chain shuts down, it is showing a realistic range if SODA’s current volatility and price pattern continue. The monthly table below rolls forward automatically to always show the next 36 months from today.

How this SODAX forecast was calculated
Every input below comes from live market data and is re-checked daily. Nothing here is a guess dressed up as a number, and you can check the working yourself.
- Tier: SODAX is classified as a nano cap asset (market cap $15.88M). Larger assets are given lower growth rates, because a coin already worth billions cannot repeat the returns of one worth millions.
- Volatility: 129% annualised, measured from 1044 real price observations over the last 90 days. This sets how wide the minimum-to-maximum range is.
- Growth rate: a base of +37.7% per year for this tier, adjusted for category (Exchange token) and liquidity (normal), giving +26.0% per year.
- Supply dilution: total supply is 1.39x the circulating supply. Those tokens unlocking over time reduce the expected price by about 8.2% per year, and that drag is subtracted.
- Market cycle: the four-year Bitcoin halving rhythm is applied on top, so a drawdown year and a post-halving expansion year are not treated the same. The next halving is expected in 2028.
- Reality check: every maximum is clamped so the implied market capitalisation cannot exceed $2.70B for an asset of this type. Any figure marked capped hit that limit.
Minimum and maximum are the 10th and 90th percentile of a log-normal distribution. That means roughly an 80% chance the real price lands inside the range, if the model's assumptions hold. They frequently will not. Ranges are scaled by time0.42 rather than the square root of time, because crypto volatility mean-reverts over multi-year horizons.
Not financial advice. This is a statistical model applied to public market data. Crypto assets are highly volatile and you can lose everything you put in. No model predicts prices, including this one. Do your own research and never invest money you cannot afford to lose.
How To Buy SODAX (SODA)
- Kraken’s SODA/USD market is the main centralized venue listed on CoinGecko.
- On-chain, SODA lives on Sonic, so you will need a small amount of S, Sonic’s gas token, for fees.
- If you hold ICX in self-custody, the official route is the migration page at sodax.com at a 1:1 ratio. Two-way swaps close on September 30, 2026, and the ICON chain stops on December 31, 2026.
- Position-size like it can go to zero. SODA trades a few hundred thousand dollars a day, most volume runs through one exchange, and the top 100 wallets hold almost all the supply. Nothing here is an entry signal.
Is SODA a Good Investment? The Honest Risk Warning
Liquidity is the first problem. With daily volume between roughly $100,000 and $315,000 depending on the tracker, a single mid-sized order can move the price double digits, and that is exactly the kind of move we saw on September 22. Concentration is the second: CoinGabbar reports the top 100 wallets hold 98.98% of supply and that one address holds more than half of circulating supply. There is also about 420 million SODA, around 28% of the total, not yet circulating, which could include treasury and DAO holdings plus the tokens reserved for ICX that has not been swapped. That last link is our inference, not something the project has confirmed.
Security is the third. On August 27, 2026, an attacker replayed two withdrawal messages about 1,492 times through the migration contract. The ICON Foundation’s post-mortem says 119.87 million ICX, 531,600 bnUSD and 1.366 million SODA were fully recovered, but about 150.2 ETH and 31,204 USDC were lost, and the ICON chain was halted for about 25 hours. The foundation says only its own funds were hit. A CryptoRank headline from August 28 also said Coinone was moving to delist SODA after a security breach, which we could not confirm in full. The upside case is a fixed supply and a real product. The downside is everything above. For the other half of this story, see our ICON price prediction.
SODAX (SODA) FAQ
What is the ICX to SODA swap ratio?
ICX converts to SODA at 1:1. Two-way swaps end on September 30, 2026, after which only ICX to SODA is possible, and the ICON chain halts on December 31, 2026.
Why did SODA jump on September 22?
No SODAX-specific news was found. The move happened at the same time as a large ICX spike, and the fixed 1:1 migration ratio links the two prices. Reported 24 hour gains ranged from about 52% to nearly 100% depending on the tracker and time.
Who runs SODAX?
SODAX is led by founder and CEO Min Kim. It is the rebranded continuation of the ICON project, which moved its DeFi infrastructure to the Sonic blockchain in May 2025.
Where can I buy SODA?
SODA trades on Kraken against USD and on decentralized venues on Sonic and other supported chains. Always confirm the contract on CoinGecko before trading on-chain.
